I have a thing I find myself saying to my clients a lot: if something won't keep a bear from eating you, then it is not really real and only exists as an idea.
I know that's a weird ass statement. Let me explain.
Human ideas and concepts are often wonderful.
But.
As wonderful as they are, they are not independently real. They depend on the agreement of other humans to work, and reality is not subject to our ideas and concepts.
