I understand that he's controversial (I suspect he's nowhere near as terrible or wonderful as people want me to believe, though), but I enjoyed a video I saw of Jordan Peterson talking about whether or not he believes in God. He says he thinks he believes in God but is not entirely sure because he doesn't do everything a person should do if they genuinely believed in a God.
I think he's talking about the strange way that we as humans can believe in something and still not take every step possible to follow that belief out as far as it goes. This is because there are different depths of belief, which is natural and normal. It's only a problem when we profess to ourselves or others that we believe in something in a deeper way than we do.
That's two weird paragraphs in a row. Let's see if we can break this down.
