I had a boss a long time ago who told me I needed to learn how to know my audience and read a room. It was an important lesson and has kept me out of trouble quite a few times.
I've been shocked by how many things have gone wrong lately. It seems like this is happening globally and personally for a bunch of people I know – friends, clients, and people who read this newsletter.
You all know I believe in practicing gratitude no matter what is going on, but I don't feel good about posting my gratitude practice right now. It feels almost passive-aggressive with much of what is happening, so I am postponing it until November. Things may still be messy then, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. I joke about toxic positivity, but it's real, and I don't want to trivialize what people are going through.
We're going to keep it light instead. Over the years, I've answered a lot of questions about my favorite things. This is an updated compilation in no particular order, and it would be different if you asked me next week.
